To become approved to offer HLU qualifications and awards, training providers are required to present evidence on how they will meet the criteria for an HLU-approved centre. The timescale to centre approval depends on the amount of development work that a centre may have to complete to meet the approved centre criteria and this may be a matter of only a few weeks. Centre approval is based on the requirements that HLU, as a UK awarding body, has to meet for the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA). Guidance will be given by the appropriate HLU Manager.
